One of the most centrally based ice rinks which means that it can easily be combined with a day trip to go shopping in the West End or to take in a performance. The rink is situated in the stunning neoclassical courtyard with an accompanying large Christmas tree make it a perfect location for festive ction photos. While all the rinks on this list have eating and drinking options it is Somerset House that has the most range, have a champagne cocktail in the Moet & Chandon lounge or share a fondue in the Chalet Barragiste.

Natural History Museum

After sixteen years this is the last opportunity you have to skate in front of one of the world's most famous and prestigous museums. Located in South Kensington the Natural History Museum is central enough to be easily accessible for those travelling into London from further a field. If possible we suggest skating at night where it feels that little bit more with the sparkling lights and the museum lit in the background. There is a cafe bar for a hot chocolate or a snack after your exersions on the ice.

This Christmas take the opportunity to skate in the grounds of the Royal Museums greenwhich with beautiful views of Greenwich Park. There is a stall next to the rink with hot drinks and festive snacks, for a wider selection you can visit the Museum's Parkside Café, which is open during museum hours. After skating you can take the opportunity to visit the Queen's House and see the famous iconic Armada Portrait of Elizabeth I. While in Greenwich you coudl also visit the Cutty Stark, National Maritime Museum or Royal Observatory.

Enjoy skating around the largest outdoor ice rink in London this Christmas, with a Victoria Bandstand in the middle of the rink and a live band playing festive tunes. Winter Wonderland is a perfect place to go ice skating if you want to have an action packed day. There are many food and drink options ranging from a Bavarian Village to a Viking' Bar, or perhaps if you wanted longer on the ice you can go sit in the Ice Bar after skating.
